You pick the route that fits your time and what you want to see, whether that's the main town of Chora with its whitewashed streets and corner chapels, the Minoan ruins at Skarkos, the scattered villages inland, or a combination that ends at Diaseli for local cheese and wine.
You'll walk with trekking poles and a map, both provided. The terrain is moderate: the guides know the network inside out and adjust the pace to the group. Two hours is the standard, though the tours run on demand, so the length and the exact route depend on what you book. Children from age 12 can join. Public transport runs nearby if you need to reach the meeting point.

Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (12 to 24 years). Children under 12 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the four route options on Ios?
Gialos, Skarkos and Village takes you to the beach, the ancient site and inland settlements; Chora, Skarkos and Hellinica focuses on the main town, ruins and a smaller village; The Churches of Chora stays in town visiting the chapels; Chora, Theatre and Diaseli adds the old theatre and ends with cheese and wine tasting at a local producer.
Do I need to be a serious hiker to do this?
Moderate fitness is what the guides ask for. You're walking established paths on an island, not climbing. The guides adjust the pace to the group and you have poles to help.
Is the cheese and wine tasting included in every route?
No, it's part of the Chora, Theatre and Diaseli option only. The other three routes don't include it, though you can choose that one at checkout if you want to taste.
Do I need to arrange my own way to the start?
Pickup is included in at least one of the four options. Check which route you're booking to confirm whether the guide meets you at your hotel or accommodation.
