Full-day Kos boat tour with three islands and lunch included
Spot dolphins from the sundeck before savoring a Greek BBQ feast at sea
A full-day guided boat tour from Kos visits three islands across the Dodecanese—Kalymnos, an uninhabited island with a church, and a golden-sand beach—with swimming time at each stop, Greek BBQ lunch included, and an audio guide in English, Italian, French or German. The 80-foot wooden vessel carries a shaded deck, sundecks and a bar; three of the seven hours are travel time between islands.
Step-by-step itinerary
Full day guided boat tour
- Board 80-foot wooden vessel
- Look for dolphins en route
- Explore Vathy port in Kalymnos
- Swim in refreshing waters
- Try local delicacies and shop
- Swim near uninhabited island church
- Relax on golden sandy beach
- Enjoy lunch on board
The Experience
The boat leaves Kos carrying up to 80 passengers on an 80-foot wooden vessel built for the route. You get a shaded oasis on deck, plush sundecks for sunbathing, and a modern bar where you can order drinks (not included in the fare). As you sail through the Dodecanese, the crew watches for dolphins that frequently appear alongside the boat. An audio guide in English, Italian, French or German narrates the route.
Your first stop is Vathy, the port town on Kalymnos. You jump in for a morning swim in the harbor, then walk the town at your own pace—it's small enough to cover in an hour. The local shops sell honey, figs, fresh orange juice and souvenirs. The second stop is an uninhabited island next to turquoise water so clear you can see the seabed. A tiny church sits on the island; the waters around it hold fish. You swim here too. The third stop is a golden-sand beach on a real island where you can relax, swim again, grab an ice cream or work on your tan before the return journey.
Greek BBQ lunch arrives at one of the stops—vegetarian and vegan options are available. The remaining hours of the day are spent traveling between the three islands, so you're moving as much as you're anchored. The whole outing runs seven hours from start to return.
