The experience

Download the Explorial app, enter your 6-digit game code, and the riddles begin at the lake's edge where Germany, Austria, and Switzerland meet. The app marks each landmark on a live map and guides you across the island without a guide or fixed schedule. Your first stop is the Altes Rathaus, the 1422 town hall whose restored medieval facade shows scenes from Lindau's imperial past and ranks among the region's most decorative civic buildings. From there the riddles take you to the Mangturm am Hafenplatz, the round medieval tower that has marked the old harbour entrance for centuries and become Lindau's emblem.

The route ends at the Spielbank, an elegant Belle Époque casino near the waterfront that speaks to Lindau's long history as a leisure destination. The harbour views and mountain backdrop frame the whole walk. You set the pace, take breaks whenever you want, and earn points by solving trivia challenges and completing photo tasks at each stop. Your group competes on the same app, so you can compare scores as you move through the city. The game keeps you on track with the live location map while you walk the public areas of the island: no entrance fees are required.
