The experience
You board a high-speed train at Munich Central Station and travel for two hours to Nuremberg, where your private guide meets you at the station. The guide is fluent in your chosen language and leads a walking tour through the Old Town, moving between the medieval streets and the three churches that anchor the day. St. Lorenz Church holds a carved Angelic Salutation by Veit Stoss and a monumental tabernacle by Adam Kraft. Frauenkirche and St. Sebald each have their own stained glass, paintings and architectural detail. Entry to St. Lorenz is included. The other two are free to enter.
The route crosses the Pegnitz river and reaches the Main Market Square, where the Schöner Brunnen fountain and the Old Town Hall stand. You also walk through Handwerkerhof, a medieval courtyard where traditional crafts are still practiced, and see the courtyard of the Imperial Castle from outside. The guide gives you personalized tips on where to spend your free hour before the return train, and lunch can be arranged in advance if you prefer not to choose on the spot.
Choose the 8-hour option if you're traveling independently to Munich Central Station, or the 8.5-hour option if you want a one-way transfer from your accommodation to the station.
