You'll pass the medieval Sendlinger Tor gate, the ornate Asamkirche and St Michael's Church, then the Frauenkirche cathedral before reaching Odeonsplatz, where the Residenz and State Opera sit along the route.

The 4-hour option extends west to Königsplatz, where neoclassical museums and monuments cluster around the square. The route includes Maximiliansplatz with its Wittelsbach Fountain, the Palace of Justice in the Alter Botanischer Garten, and Ludwigstraße—a royal boulevard lined with grand 19th-century architecture and the Siegestor triumphal arch. The 6-hour tour goes further still, crossing into the English Garden, an 18th-century urban park where you cycle past a replica Greek temple and along the Eisbach River. After that, you cross the Isar to reach the Maximilianeum, home of the Bavarian State Parliament, riding through quieter residential neighborhoods and park settings.
