The experience

Your driver arrives at your accommodation at the time you choose and you settle into a vehicle sized for your group: a sedan for one to three people, a minivan for four to seven, or a minibus for eight to twelve. From there, the route unfolds through Berlin's layered history: the Brandenburg Gate, which symbolizes peace and unity as the city's only remaining town gate; the Reichstag, seat of Parliament since 1991; and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, designed by architect Peter Eisenman. The driver shares the historical weight of each place as you pass, grounding the architecture and monuments in what they represent.

The second half of the tour moves through Museum Island (a UNESCO-listed ensemble of five museums on the Spree), and the Berlin Cathedral, built between 1894 and 1905 and the most iconic religious structure in the capital. You'll see the Television Tower at Alexanderplatz, Germany's tallest building at 365 meters, and the Berlin Wall Memorial, which marks the central site of German division. Because the driver stays with the vehicle, you're not guided into any of these places.
