Private Aquatic Photography Tour Bora Bora: Resort to Lagoon
Shoot in the lagoon, not just look at it
A private aquatic photography tour in Bora Bora pairs a photo session at your resort with a full day on the water, stopping at prime lagoon spots to capture images of the reef, the light and yourself in it. The tour includes a private boat, lunch at a motu, and all edited digital files. You customize the stops and the shots based on what you came to photograph.

The experience
What do you want to photograph in Bora Bora? That question shapes the whole day. You start at your resort with a photo session on land (wear what you want, formal or casual), then move to the water with a private boat and captain. The tour is not a circuit of the island. It is built around two or more stops in the lagoon where the light and the reef line up for the shots you are after. You can change into water gear at the motu if you want to stay dry for the first part of the day.
Lunch happens at a motu, and the afternoon is split between eating, snorkeling if you choose, and more photography, including in-water and mid-air shots from the boat. The motu location is ideal for those angles. You get high-resolution edited digital files from the day, not just the raw images. The whole tour runs about 6.5 hours from pickup at your resort to return.
The guide speaks English, French, Chinese or Cantonese, and the boat and all logistics are included. Bring a camera you know how to use. The guide will help you find the angles and the moments, but this is your photography, not a guided sightseeing run.

Is this one for you?The guide speaks English, French, Chinese or Cantonese, so choose the tour if your preferred language is one of those four. The full day on the water and the in-water photography mean you should be comfortable in a boat and in the lagoon. It's not a land-based photo walk.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, French, Chinese and Cantonese.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I bring my own camera, or do I need a specific type?
Bring your own camera: the guide works with what you have and helps you frame the shots you want. The tour is built around your photography, not a house camera or a rental.
What if I don't have specific photos in mind when I book?
Tell the guide what draws you to Bora Bora (the reef, the light, portraits in the water, the boat itself), and the stops and the timing adjust to those interests. The tour is customized, so the day shifts to match what you want to shoot.
Do I get prints, or just digital files?
The tour includes high-resolution edited digital files. Prints are optional and arranged separately.
Is there time to snorkel, or is it all photography?
Snorkeling is optional during the leisure time at the motu in the afternoon. You choose how much time to spend in the water versus behind the camera.
What's included in the lunch at the motu?
Lunch includes Tahitian coco fish, grilled swordfish or tuna, and fresh fruits with Tahitian-style pudding. It's part of the full-day package.
