A towed buoy session in Loire Atlantique is a 10-minute water activity where you sit on an inflatable buoy and hold on while a MASTER-CRAFT speedboat tows you across a dedicated lake. The experience

You arrive at the club house on the operator's grounds in Loire Atlantique and check in with the staff. They fit you with a wetsuit and life jacket, then walk you to the pontoon where the boat and your instructor are waiting. The MASTER-CRAFT X7 is a large ski boat powered by a 350HP V8 engine: the kind of machine built to pull hard. Your instructor briefs you on what to expect and how to hold the buoy, then you climb on.

The session itself runs 10 minutes. Towed behind the boat, you experience the pull of the rope, the spray, and the effort of staying on the buoy as the boat accelerates and turns. You can ride alone or share the buoy with up to four other people: a group of friends or family members riding together. The sensation is physical and immediate. There is no pacing or gradual build. Beginners and experienced riders both feel the same forces at work.

When the 10 minutes end, you head back to the changing rooms, which have individual cabins and showers so you can rinse off and change into dry clothes. The operator also runs a bar and snack bar on a panoramic terrace overlooking the water if you want to sit for a bit before leaving.
