The experience
The Haute-Isère is one of Europe's recognized white-water destinations, and this descent covers the full run in a single morning. You'll meet at the base car park at 8:45 a.m., get fitted with a wetsuit, life jacket, helmet and paddle, then head out for 2 hours on the water with your guide. The operator handles all the logistics (transfers, equipment checks, the route itself), so you show up with a swimsuit and towel and spend the morning paddling.
The base sits on the river's edge and includes changing rooms, showers and a restaurant on a terrace overlooking the Isère, so there's a place to dry off and eat after you're done. The whole experience runs about 3.5 hours from arrival to departure. Groups stay small enough that a state-certified guide can keep an eye on everyone, and the minimum age is 12 as long as you can swim.
What’s included
- Shuttle transfers to and from the base.
- full rafting equipment including wetsuit, neoprene boots, life jacket, helmet and paddle.
- guidance by a state-certified guide.
- access to changing rooms and showers at the base.
