The experience

You start in Ribagnac and ride a quad bike through three hours of Périgord landscape: past the region's castles, across the vineyards of Monbazillac, and into forest trails with views over the Dordogne valley. The paths are accessible to all fitness levels. The only requirement is closed shoes and a willingness to sit on a bike. If you're 18 or older with a valid B-category driving license, you operate the quad yourself. Passengers aged 6 and up ride along, and children under 7 can travel in a specialized infant seat.

Midway through the ride, the group stops for a gourmet tasting break. You taste artisanal foie gras, goose and duck rillettes, and share a bottle of Monbazillac wine (or organic grape juice for younger riders and drivers who prefer it). The guide supplies the quad bike, helmet and gloves. You bring closed shoes and the willingness to navigate forest paths at an easy pace.
