The experience
You've got an afternoon free in the Dordogne and want to move through the landscape instead of sitting in it. An electric scooter handles the terrain (vineyards, forest tracks, country roads) without the noise or the effort of a pedal bike. The machine is quiet enough that you hear the birds and the wind, and simple enough that you're steering within minutes. The paths stay easy and the pace lets you take in the châteaux, the vines and the open views across Périgord without rushing through them.
Three hours means you cover real ground: the route passes through the heart of Monbazillac's wine country, crosses into working forests and stops at a point where the landscape opens up. Halfway through, you dismount for a tasting break built around what this corner of France is known for: foie gras made by hand, rillettes of goose and duck, and a bottle of Monbazillac to share among the group (organic grape juice goes to anyone under drinking age). The food and wine are not an afterthought. They're the reason the stop exists.
A live guide leads the ride in English, Spanish, Italian or French, depending on which option you book. The scooter comes with helmet and gloves. You bring closed shoes and a moderate level of fitness. Teenagers often pick this as their favorite activity on a family holiday, partly because they're steering their own machine and partly because the tasting break treats them like adults.
