The experience

Six to seven hours means you move through the Var countryside without rushing. You start with pickup from your hotel or meeting point, then head to Château Sainte Roseline in the heart of Provence, where you taste rosés, reds and whites while learning about the estate's centuries-old winemaking and the terroir that shapes the wines. On request and subject to availability, you can also visit the Sainte-Roseline Chapel, which holds the relics of the saint and a mosaic by Marc Chagall.

From there, you move to Château Font du Broc, a hidden gem in the hills where you walk through the vineyards and descend into the underground cellar to see how they work. The winemakers explain their organic practices, then guide you through a tasting of their reds, whites and rosés. Next is Château Les Preyres, a small family-run operation where you might meet the winemakers themselves. You stroll the organic vineyards, explore the cellar and taste their handcrafted, low-intervention wines. The final stop is Château d'Esclans, home of the famous Whispering Angel rosé. You tour the elegant château, learn why their rosés are celebrated worldwide, and taste a range from fresh and vibrant to barrel-aged cuvées.

Your guide is a licensed tour guide accredited by the French Ministry of Tourism with over 35 years in the service industry and deep local knowledge of the region. You travel in an air-conditioned luxury Mercedes van, and bottled water is provided. Because visits and tastings at the estates require prior reservation and depend on seasonal schedules and how far ahead you book, the exact châteaux you visit may shift. If one is unavailable, your guide selects another equally good winery to keep the experience intact.
