Step-by-step itinerary
Croissant tasting and scenic Cannes tour
- Meet guide at Marché Forville arch
- Savor croissants and coffee at local café
- Visit hidden charming corner with croissant
- Walk through beautiful garden with sea views
- Taste sweet and savory croissants in hidden setting
- Promenade along Cannes waterfront
The experience
You meet your guide at the arch of the Marché Forville farmer's market and start at a café overlooking the market itself, where you taste your first croissants with coffee, tea, hot chocolate or juice. From there the walk moves through one of the guide's favorite hidden corners of Cannes, then into a peaceful garden with fountains and sea views, where you pause for a second tasting of sweet and savory croissants in a quiet local spot. The route finishes along the waterfront promenade, where fishing boats and yachts sit side by side and the pace slows to match the rhythm of the place.
The guide speaks English and French and leads the group through about one hour of active walking total. There's a short uphill section with roughly ten large stairs, but otherwise the pace is easy. Strollers work on most of the route except that stair section. The croissants come from the city's best boulangeries and change with the season and what's available that morning, so no two tours taste exactly the same. One beverage per person is included. If you want wine or other alcohol, you can order it on the spot.
Cruise passengers should plan to arrive early since Cannes is a tender port and the ship anchors offshore. Groups of six or more can ask about a semi-private departure with a dedicated time slot at no extra cost, depending on availability. If you want the tour entirely to yourselves, a fully private option exists. Children under twelve are welcome to join free and can share your croissants. Drinks for them can be bought separately if needed.
