You meet at 3 Avenue d'Odessa near Pointe Rouge beach, south of Marseille, and set out on an electric bike fitted with a certified helmet. The route follows a water canal past Pastré Castle—shaded, with views opening onto the city, sea and surrounding cliffs. The electric motor does the heavy work on climbs, so the pace stays steady even as the terrain steepens toward the coast.

Sormiou Calanque is the destination: a narrow inlet with a small working port, a beach, a restaurant and unobstructed views across the Mediterranean and back toward Marseille. The route itself is the draw—you're cycling through Calanques National Park, riding between the limestone walls that define these inlets. Depending on the group's fitness level and preference, you either descend all the way to the port or stop at the viewpoints above it. Either way, you're moving through the landscape rather than standing still to look at it.

The whole outing runs 3.5 hours. A professional guide handles the route and timing; you bring a moderate level of fitness and the ability to ride a bike. Children are welcome from age 11, and you need to be at least 140 cm (4'6") tall to fit the bikes.
