The Experience
The tour begins at the ComhiC shop in Vieux-Lyon, where you get fitted with a helmet and briefed before setting out on the e-bike. The first stretch follows the Saône riverbanks, where the colorful buildings of the old town rise above the water and the Basilica of Fourvière comes into view across the hills. The electric motor handles the climbing, so the pace stays easy and the focus stays on the landscape.
The route cuts through Croix-Rousse Hill via a tunnel reserved for bicycles and pedestrians—a shortcut most car travelers never see. From there, the ride opens into Tête d'Or Park, where you have time to explore the botanical garden, tropical greenhouses, zoo, rose garden and the lake itself. The guide points out the layout so you know what you're looking at instead of just riding past it. The final stop is Place Bellecour, where the guide walks through the history of the City Hall, the Fountain of Terreaux, and the Museum of Fine Arts—the landmarks that frame the heart of the peninsula.
The two-hour ride is designed for all fitness levels; the e-bike does the heavy work on climbs. Riders must be at least 14 years old and 1.50 m tall. If rain comes, a cape is provided. You can leave luggage at the agency before the tour starts.

What exactly is Tête d'Or Park and what will I see there on the bike?
Tête d'Or Park is a large urban park in central Lyon with a botanical garden, tropical greenhouses, a zoo, a rose garden, and a lake. The e-bike tour takes you through all of these sections so you see the full layout and the guide explains what each area holds.
Do I need to be fit to ride an electric bike for two hours?
No—e-bikes are suitable for all fitness levels because the motor assists on climbs and flat stretches. You control how much you pedal; the bike handles the strain.
What happens if it rains on the day of my tour?
A rain cape is provided as part of the tour. Public transportation is also nearby if weather becomes unsafe for riding.
Can I book this tour in English?
Yes—the guide leads tours in English and French at the same time, so you get live commentary in your language throughout the two hours.
Where do I meet the guide and what do I need to bring?
You meet at the ComhiC shop in Vieux-Lyon. Bring casual, comfortable clothes and a valid ID. Helmet, rain cape and the e-bike are all included. You can leave luggage at the agency before you ride.
