The experience
The tour starts with Cannes, where you walk the Croisette Boulevard past the grand hotels (the Carlton, Majestic and Martinez) that host film festival guests each May. You'll stand on the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals and climb the 24 steps where the ceremony takes place, then see the Walk of Fame with handprints of past honorees. The guide provides context in the minivan between stops, but the time in each town is yours to spend.
From Cannes, the route follows the coast toward Antibes, passing through the summer resorts of Golfe-Juan and Juan-les-Pins. In Antibes, the guide points out the 15th-century ramparts circling the Old Town and the Grimaldi Castle, now the Picasso Museum. The standout here is Billionaires' Quay, where some of the world's most expensive yachts are moored. You'll see them as you drive past the marina before heading inland.
St-Paul-de-Vence, the final stop, is a medieval village of cobbled streets and listed monuments where Matisse, Chagall and Picasso all worked. The narrow lanes are lined with art galleries, and the light at certain hours gives the place a quality that has drawn actors and artists for decades. You explore on foot, then return to Villefranche by late afternoon.

Is this one for you?The small-group cap of eight keeps the pace relaxed and gives you real time to wander each destination, rather than moving as a larger unit. If you want the Riviera highlights without rushing between stops, this structure works. If you prefer a faster-paced itinerary or a private vehicle, look for a different option.
