The bike carries you past the Bordeaux Cathedral (12th-century, visited from outside), the Palais de Justice with its imposing 19th-century facade, and the Grosse Cloche, a medieval bell tower that once served as a city gate and prison. You'll see the striking steeple of the Basilica of St. Michael, then cross the Pont de Pierre—a graceful stone bridge from the early 1800s that connects the left and right banks and is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. The route also passes the Darwin complex, a converted military barracks now used for creative and business ventures, and the Pont Jacques Chaban Delmas, a modern vertical-lift bridge completed in 2013 and the longest of its kind in Europe.

La Cité du Vin, a contemporary wine museum that opened in 2016, is on the itinerary, and you'll ride along the riverbanks to see the 18th-century facades that line them. The tour ends at the Halle des Chartrons, a 19th-century market hall in the Chartrons district, built with iron and glass.
