The food tasting happens at the Old Market Hall, where the guide leads you to sample local specialties: salmon canapés, smoked reindeer, fish delicacies, bread cheese, traditional rye bread, local pastry and blue chocolate, all washed down with non-alcoholic drinks. The menu shifts with availability and season. If you book the private tour, black caviar joins the tasting. The hall itself is worth the stop—it holds cheese, fish, shellfish, meat vendors, cafes and restaurants all under one roof, plus the city's smallest wine shop.

The tour wraps at Esplanadi Park, Helsinki's oldest park and a green anchor in the city center.
