This 6 to 7 hour activity in Nadi combines ATV quad biking through the Nakala Mountains and a 5 km zipline course with 16 lines over caves, canyons, mountaintops and rainforest. You operate the quad bike on and off-road tracks past the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple and through pine forest, stopping on a mountain plateau for light snacks. A local guide leads the day, and you can do the activities in either order. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included for selected hotels in the Nadi area.

The experience

The day starts at the Go Dirty Tours base with a safety briefing and test drive before you head out on the quad bike. You ride past the biggest Hindu Temple in the South Pacific, then into the Nakala Mountains where the off-road section begins: mud puddles (seasonal), cane fields, and pine forest tracks take you higher until you reach a mountain plateau overlooking the Mamanuca Islands. Light refreshments wait there. The route winds back through Nadi town and stops at a local beach before you return to base for a van transfer to the zipline site.

The zipline course spans 5 km across 16 lines, strung over caves, canyons, mountaintops and rainforest. The operator can run the quad biking and ziplining in either order depending on the day's schedule. A local guide who speaks English leads throughout and shares information about Fiji as you go. All safety equipment for the quad bike (helmet, safety glasses and gear) is provided, and the zipline company's safety procedures and weight limits apply.

Bring a valid driver's license. You cannot ride without one. Closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a change of clothes are essential. The activity runs in most weather. If it's canceled due to extremely poor conditions, you'll be offered an alternative date. Children from age 5 can join. Those under 18 can ride as passengers on a 2-seater quad with an adult, or if they hold a valid license and are 16 or 17, they can drive their own bike. A credit card or cash is required for an insurance bond at the start.
