The experience

You start in Nadi and board a boat at 10am for Robinson Crusoe Island, where you'll spend your first night. Before arrival, the boat stops at a Fijian village for the Kava ceremony. A ritual drink made from the kava plant that is central to local culture, though it's optional to participate. Once on the island, you have the afternoon and evening free to snorkel, kayak or paddleboard. Some activities carry an extra cost, which you arrange directly with the resort.

On day two, you leave Robinson Crusoe at 9am and travel south along the Coral Coast toward Pacific Harbour. The route includes a market stop in Sigatoka to see local produce, then a packed lunch before the group heads to Biausevu Waterfalls. A 45-minute trek through rainforest and small creeks leads to the largest waterfall on the Coral Coast, where you swim before heading to Uprising Beach Resort in Pacific Harbour for a two-night stay. Lunch is included.

Day three is a full-day river adventure: a 17km boat ride up the Navua River, a walk through Sabata Village to see how locals live, a swim at a river waterfall, and a tubing run down the gentle currents back downstream. A riverside BBQ-style lunch and breakfast are included. On the final day, you depart Pacific Harbour at 9am, stop at Bedarra Beach for a packed lunch, then visit Sigatoka Sand Dunes for sand boarding before heading back to Nadi. The last stop is Sabeto Valley's thermal springs and mud pools: natural hot and warm pools where you can soak before being dropped at your accommodation. Breakfast and lunch are included.
