The Lady Liz, Stanley's most recognizable shipwreck, anchors the tour: a ship that limped into harbor in 1913 after rounding Cape Horn and never left. If Yorke Bay is closed during your visit, the route extends east to Sapper Hill and Wireless Ridge, or west to Cape Pembroke and Surf Bay, so the tour covers maximum ground either way.

The walk to see Magellanic penguins and shore birds is the centerpiece: your guide leads you to the water's edge where you watch the birds in their habitat and take in views across the harbours. The ground is uneven, so the tour requires moderate fitness and is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility aids. If you're arriving by cruise ship, the guide meets you at the tender landing area at the Jetty Visitor Centre and returns you there at the end, or you can opt to stay at the Museum instead.
