Weymouth walking tour Sundays: Local guide, 3 hours
Walk Weymouth with someone who knows every corner
A three-hour walking tour of Weymouth on Sunday mornings led by Paul, a lifelong resident and former tour guide who adapts the route to your interests and fitness level. The tour covers Weymouth Beach (an award-winning stretch with Punch & Judy shows and donkeys), and the working harbour, one of the prettiest in the world. Children from age two are welcome.
Step-by-step itinerary

- Walk around Weymouth Harbour
- Explore traditional pubs and restaurants
The Experience
Paul has lived in Weymouth for over 30 years and spent time guiding visitors on glass-bottom boat tours, so he knows how to pace a group and read what people want to see. The tour is built to flex: you can ask for more walking or less, focus on the town's history, explore its social character, or mix it all together. The route itself stays anchored to two things (the beach and the harbour), but how you move between them and what you stop to look at is yours to shape.
Weymouth Beach is one of the best in the UK, award-winning and sandy, with the kind of traditional seaside you don't see everywhere anymore: Punch & Judy shows, donkey rides, sand sculpture. The harbour sits alongside it, working and historic, lined with fishing boats, pubs and restaurants. Three hours is enough to see both without rushing, and to linger if something catches your eye. The tour runs Sunday mornings at 10am and is wheelchair accessible throughout. Children in prams or strollers fit easily, and service animals are welcome.

Is this one for you?The three-hour window leaves the rest of your Sunday morning or early afternoon free. If you want a deeper dive into one neighbourhood or a longer walk, Paul can adjust the scope. If you prefer a quick overview before heading elsewhere, the route compresses just as easily.
