After lunch, a short steep walk into Friston Forest is available for those who want it—optional, not mandatory. The day finishes with a bus ride back to Seaford rather than a return walk, which means you're not retracing your steps or pushing through fatigue at the end. The whole outing, including breaks, runs 5–6 hours on the moderate route, though the length and difficulty adjust to what your group prefers. Matt takes you to places locals know—seascapes, rivers, forests, secluded villages and Downland hills—rather than the standard marked trail.

You'll need proper walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothes; the terrain is coastal grassland and forest paths, not pavement.
