- Climb 52 metres above ground
- Enjoy panoramic London views
- Complete 90-minute guided climb
The Experience
The climb starts with a safety briefing and full equipment setup—harness, shoes and all the gear you need are provided. You'll ascend the curved roof of The O2 with an expert guide, moving steadily upward as the angle steepens. The route follows the structure's contours, and the guide manages the pace so the climb stays steady rather than rushed. By the time you reach the platform 52 metres up, London spreads out in all directions: the Thames, the city skyline, the surrounding neighbourhoods, all visible at once.
The sunset timing is the point. The light shifts as you climb, and by the time you're on the roof platform, the sky turns auburn and the city below begins to glow. You spend time up there taking in the views, and the guide points out landmarks across the 360-degree panorama. If you want, you can buy a drink—beer, bubbly or soft drink—to have while you're standing on top. Souvenir photos are also available to purchase.
The descent follows the same route back down, and the whole experience runs 90 minutes from start to finish. You'll need to be at least 1.2 metres tall and weigh no more than 130 kilograms; waist and thigh measurements have limits too (125cm waist, 75cm upper thigh). The experience is suitable for all fitness levels, though it's not recommended for people with poor cardiovascular health or pregnant travellers. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult—the ratio is one adult to up to five children.
