Climbing challenges at Clip n Climb Cambridge

  • Attend 30-minute safety briefing
  • Climb various challenges for 55 minutes
  • Remove harness and end session

The experience

Clip n Climb Cambridge combines climbing centre and theme park in one space. You start with a 30-minute safety induction that covers everything you need, then move onto the arena for 55 minutes of climbing. The friendly climbing team is there to help you clip on and off the walls as you work through the challenges. The whole session wraps up in 90 minutes, with 5 minutes at the end to remove your harness.

The challenges themselves are the draw: Jungle Gym for commando-style climbing, Skyscraper to reach new heights, Speed Climbing to test your pace, Checkerplate to light up the board, Face to Face to race a friend up side by side, and more than a dozen others. Each one is designed to keep both little ones and experienced climbers engaged, so a family with mixed abilities finds something at their level. If you want the extra rush, you can add tokens for the Extreme Challenges (Stairway to Heaven and Vertical Drop Slide), at £3 per token.

The activity is open weekends, school holidays and INSET days. Children can start from age 4. All the equipment you need is provided, and the space is designed to be as inclusive and accessible as possible, with wheelchair access and public transport nearby.
