The Experience

Four hours of cycling through the Peak District begins at Winster Cycling Hub, where you collect a fully charged eTrike, a packed lunch, free coffee, and a safety briefing before heading out. The route covers 13 miles across minor roads and traffic-free cycle trails, with GPS navigation built into the handlebars so you don't need a guide or a map app. You ride at your own pace, stopping for photos and exploring the countryside without a fixed schedule.

The route passes through rolling hills and quiet lanes toward Minninglow, a picturesque stone-built village in the Peak District, then follows an old railway line with views across the landscape. Along the way you'll pass through a Peak District hamlet with a nearby nature reserve and a brewery tap room that opens weekends in summer. Picnic tables are scattered along the route so you can eat your packed lunch (a choice of roll, crisps, drink and cake) wherever the view appeals to you.

The self-guided format means no commentary and no fixed stops, so families and casual riders can linger as long as they want at any point. The eTrikes handle the hills, and the route is designed for all skill levels. You return to Winster Cycling Hub at the end of the 4 hours with the same eTrike you started with.
