The experience
The Nile Maxim boat leaves from a dock near Tahrir Square for a two-hour evening voyage. You board with a set menu already planned: Egyptian, international and Oriental salads, plus your choice of main courses. As the boat moves downriver, the city's landmarks light up around you: the skyline of downtown Cairo framed against the water.
Entertainment unfolds while you eat. A belly dancer performs, followed by the Tanura Dance show, a whirling display of Egyptian folklore, with live musicians accompanying both. The combination of food, movement and the river itself fills the evening. There is no separate sightseeing stop or guided narration of the sites you pass.
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included in the booking. A modern air-conditioned vehicle collects you and returns you after the cruise ends. Pickups from the airport, New Administrative Capital, Sheikh Zayed City or other outlying areas cost extra and can be arranged at checkout.
