The day starts at 3:30 am with pickup from your Sharm El Sheikh hotel and transfer to the domestic airport. A flight to Luxor cuts the journey to hours instead of a full day of driving, leaving you time to actually explore. Once you land, a professional Egyptologist guide meets you with a nameplate and transfers you by private air-conditioned vehicle to begin the tour.

The itinerary moves through five major sites. Temple of Hatshepsut, built by the only female pharaoh to rule ancient Egypt, sits beneath limestone cliffs on the west bank. The Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues, are the remains of Amenhotep III's mortuary temple. Karnak Temple, construction of which began around 2000 BC and continued for nearly two thousand years, covers a vast complex dedicated to the god Amun. Luxor Temple, built on the east bank and completed by Ramses II, was used for the rejuvenation of kingship and possibly the coronation of pharaohs. The Valley of the Kings holds the tombs of multiple rulers, including Tutankhamun, Ramses VI and Amenhotep II.

Lunch happens at a local restaurant of your choice partway through the day. Around 6 pm you transfer back to the airport for the return flight to Sharm El Sheikh, where your representative meets you for the final transfer to your hotel. The whole day runs 10 to 12 hours from pickup to drop-off.
