The experience
The day starts with hotel pickup in Cairo or Giza, then a domestic flight to Luxor. Once there, you travel by air-conditioned vehicle with a private Egyptologist guide who speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or German. The itinerary is customizable (you can request specific sites, local cuisine stops or shopping time), so the route adapts to what interests you most.
Karnak Temple opens the tour: the largest temple ever built, with 134 colossal columns in the Hypostyle Hall, the Avenue of Sphinxes, and obelisks dedicated to Amon. From there you move to Valley of the Kings, where your guide leads you through three tombs (rotated annually for preservation) carved into the rock and decorated with scenes for the pharaohs' afterlife. The standout moment is King Tutankhamun's tomb itself: a 1-hour exploration of the boy king who ruled for a decade and whose burial chamber, discovered in 1922, still holds its treasures. On the return leg, you stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Amenophis III facing the Nile, then spend 2 hours at Temple of Hatshepsut, the terraced monument built by Egypt's only female pharaoh, rising from the desert floor against limestone cliffs.
Lunch is included during the day. The tour wraps at Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo, ending roughly 13 hours after you left your hotel. You can book this with or without the domestic flights. If you arrange your own transport to Luxor, the same guide and itinerary apply.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (2 to 11 years); Infant (under 2).
What's inside King Tutankhamun's tomb that makes it worth the trip?
King Tutankhamun's tomb holds the treasures buried with the boy pharaoh when he died around 1323 BCE, discovered intact in 1922 by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon. The 1-hour guided exploration covers his life, burial practices and the objects placed in the tomb for his afterlife: a rare chance to stand in an actual royal burial chamber and see how the ancient Egyptians prepared their dead.
How many temples and tombs do I actually visit in one day?
You visit five major sites: Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings (three separate tombs), King Tutankhamun's tomb, Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Your guide leads you through each one with commentary on the architecture, hieroglyphics and history, and you can ask to skip or linger at any stop based on your interests.
Is the flight from Cairo to Luxor included, or do I book it separately?
The domestic flight is optional. You can book the tour with the flights included, or choose the driver-and-car option only and arrange your own transport to Luxor. If you select the flight option, both the Cairo-to-Luxor and return flights are covered in the price.
What's the Temple of Hatshepsut actually like compared to the other sites?
Temple of Hatshepsut is the only one built by a female pharaoh and stands out architecturally: it rises in a series of stone terraces that seem to merge with the sheer limestone cliffs behind it, rather than sitting on flat ground like most temples. You spend 2 hours there exploring its unique design and the history of Hatshepsut's reign.
Can I customize the stops or add sites I want to see?
Yes, the tour is designed to be tailored to your interests. You can request specific temples, shopping time in local markets, particular restaurants for lunch, or any other sites you want to prioritize, and your guide will work the itinerary around those preferences.
