Swim alongside sea lions and end your day with tuna caught from the boat

Full-day snorkeling activity at Pinzon Island in the Galapagos, departing from Santa Cruz with hotel pickup included. You snorkel twice: first at Bahía Pingüino to encounter sea lions, sharks, multi-colored fish and marine iguanas in clear water, then again at La Fe after lunch. The day also includes a fishing session onboard where you can catch and cook yellowfin tuna.

The experience

The boat leaves Puerto Ayora dock and heads straight to Bahía Pingüino, where the water clarity lets snorkelers of any age see the marine life without struggle. You'll encounter Galapagos sharks, sea lions, and marine iguanas in their natural habitat during the first dive. After about 40 minutes in the water, you return to the boat for hot drinks and a break before the second activity: a panga (dinghy) excursion to watch more wildlife from the surface, then a second snorkel lasting roughly 40 minutes.

Lunch is served onboard. On the return journey to Puerto Ayora, the crew sets up fishing gear and you fish as a team: yellowfin tuna is the target, and what you catch can be prepared for a meal. The final stop is La Fe, where you observe more of the island's marine fauna before heading back to the dock. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, along with snorkel equipment, bottled water, and all taxes and fees.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want to snorkel twice in one day and try fishing between dives: the full-day format and two separate snorkel sites let you see more marine life than a half-day activity would allow. The shared-boat setup keeps costs lower than a private charter and means you'll be with other travelers interested in the same wildlife encounters.
