The experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel in Puerto Plata or Cabarete, then heads to Sosua Beach where a 75-foot catamaran waits. Once aboard, you head out to the first reef stop, where snorkel gear and a vest are provided so you can explore the underwater sites without bringing your own equipment. The crew sets up two different reef locations during the morning, giving you time to snorkel at each one or simply swim and cool off between stops.

After the second reef, the crew raises the main sail and you spend the afternoon sailing along the coast. Lunch is served onboard and the open bar runs throughout the day, so food and drinks are covered. The catamaran holds a shared group, so you'll be with other travelers rather than a private charter. The return to your hotel happens after the tour wraps up.
