Step-by-step itinerary

Snorkeling and beach relaxation in Sosua

  • Meet snorkeling guide at Eric Tours office
  • Receive snorkeling equipment and instructions
  • Boat trip to Three Rocks snorkeling reef
  • Snorkel at Sosua Bay reef
  • Relax on Sosua Beach with sun chair
  • Swim and enjoy beach scenery
  • Optional shopping, eating, and drinking

The experience

You meet your guide at the Eric Tours office, where you get fitted with a mask, fins and an inflatable snorkel vest before boarding the boat. The guide walks you through the basics, so even if you've never snorkeled, you'll know what to expect in the water. The boat takes you out to the Three Rocks, your first reef, then returns to Sosua Bay for the second one. The water is warm and clear, and the reefs sit close enough to shore that the whole snorkeling portion stays manageable: no long boat rides or deep dives.

After you're done in the water, the activity shifts. You get a sun chair on Sosua Beach itself, where you can dry off, swim again if you want, or just sit. The beach has shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance, so you can grab lunch or a drink on your own if you're hungry. This isn't a rushed handoff to a beach club. You have real time to settle in and move at your own pace.

The whole experience runs five to six hours from pickup to drop-off. That leaves room for an early start to your day or time to do something else afterward, depending on when the boat departs. Bottled water comes with you on the boat, so you're covered for hydration while you're out on the water.
