The experience
You start with a safety briefing at the meeting point, then ride in an air-conditioned vehicle to Playa Rincón, where turquoise water and white sand meet. The beach is yours to swim and explore for as long as the itinerary allows. After the beach, the route takes you to Caño Frío river, a freshwater stream where you can wade and cool off, a contrast to the salt water you just left.
The tour ends at a resort where you have access to the gardens, pools and grounds for the rest of the afternoon. Drinks are available for purchase. Food is not included. If you arranged a return transfer with the operator, they'll be ready to take you back when you're done. If you met the guide at the meeting point instead, you can stay at the resort until it closes, turning the half-day into a full one on your own terms.
