The experience
The day starts at Damajagua, where you descend through 12 waterfalls in a natural park called Los Charcos de Damajagua. The waterfalls sit in a mountain setting with clear pools, natural rock slides and limestone formations. You move through the water under instruction, working your way down the sequence at your own pace.
After the waterfalls, you saddle up for a horseback ride through streams and tropical forest. The route passes through woodland and open farmland before you head to the ziplining center. Full training happens at the center with instructors before you clip in: no prior experience is needed. The 8-line course spans over palm trees, farmland and mountain views. The cables are the centerpiece here, and the training ensures you know the equipment and the technique before you leave the platform.
Hotel pickup and drop-off bookend the day, and a guide stays with the group throughout. Lunch and bottled water are provided. The whole day runs about 8.5 hours. Wear closed shoes that can get wet, bring a bathing suit and towel, and come ready for physical activity: the descent, the ride and the ziplining all demand a moderate level of fitness.
