The 4-hour option keeps going past that to Trekroner Fort, an artificial island built in the 1600s with 24 cannons, sitting out on the open sea like something from another era. Winter tours run from October onward and skip the smaller canals, so the boat stays on the main waterways.

The captain's there the whole time, and life jackets are available if you need one. Infants sit on an adult's lap.
