Pilsner Urquell Experience Prague: 3 Beer Tastings
Video mapping, brewing heat, chilly cellars, and three pours of golden lager in one afternoon
The Pilsner Urquell Experience is an immersive tour in a heritage-protected 1902 building on Wenceslas Square in Prague, where you taste three beers while walking through the 180-year history of the world's first golden lager. The tour uses video mapping, light shows, projection and sensory effects to show how pilsner was created and brewed. It runs about an hour to an hour and a half and includes a 360° game hall and a beer hall upstairs where tapsters pour your tastings.

The Experience
The tour starts in the immersive exposition downstairs, where an audioguide with professional voiceover and 3D sound takes you back to the moment pilsner revolutionized beer 180 years ago. Video mapping and light shows play across the walls as you move through the story -- you'll see how the first brewmaster worked, taste your first beer in the middle of it, and then walk through the actual brewing processes: the hot brewhouse where the beer is made, the chilly cellars where it ages. The sensory effects (smell, taste, heat, cold, projection, music) are built into the space itself, not narrated at you.
Before you leave the storytelling floor, there's a 360° game hall where you can test what you've learned. Then the tour moves upstairs to the iconic Beer Hall, where two more tastings arrive served by tapsters who can show you the technique of a perfect Czech pour -- the foam matters as much as the beer itself. If you want to stay longer, the brand shop lets you personalize a hand-engraved beer mug or order a bottle with your name on it to take home. Non-alcoholic options are available throughout if you prefer them.
The whole experience runs between an hour and ninety minutes. Headphones come with the ticket, and the audioguide is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and seven other languages. The building is wheelchair accessible, and the tour is suitable for all fitness levels -- infants can come in a pram or stroller, and service animals are welcome.

Is this one for you?The immersive setup with video mapping, light shows and sensory effects built into the space itself is what sets this apart from a standard brewery tour -- you're not just learning about pilsner, you're walking through the story as it unfolds around you, which is why the three tastings land differently than they would in a bar.
