The experience
The setup is what makes this different: you're literally steps from the water at Green Bay, the most relaxed entry point in Ayia Napa. No transport drama, no long walk with heavy tanks. You arrive, meet your guide, and spend 20 to 25 minutes on theory: enough to feel confident with the equipment, not so much that you're sitting in a classroom when you could be underwater. Then you're in the water for your first dive, staying at a maximum depth of 5 meters for about 40 to 45 minutes while you get used to breathing underwater and moving in the gear.
After the first dive, you surface, grab a drink, and catch your breath. The second dive, the Safari Dive, takes you deeper, to 10 meters, where the underwater statues and colorful fish are waiting. This is where sea turtles show up if the timing is right. Another 40 to 45 minutes underwater, and you're done by early afternoon. The whole day runs from 9:45 AM to somewhere between 1:30 and 2:30 PM, depending on conditions and group size. Your guide speaks English, Swedish, or Greek. Pickup from your hotel is included, and you get the underwater photos and videos afterward.
What’s included
- Use of full scuba equipment.
- air-conditioned pickup from your hotel.
- underwater photos and videos from both dives.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, Swedish and Greek.
What's the deepest I'll go on these two dives?
The introduction dive stays at 5 meters maximum, where the water is calm and clear. The safari dive goes to 10 meters, where you'll see the underwater statues and have a better chance of spotting sea turtles.
Do I need diving experience to book this?
No, this is built for first-timers and beginners. The 20-minute theory session covers everything you need, and your guide stays with you the whole time underwater.
How much time does the whole thing take?
About five hours from pickup to finish, starting at 9:45 AM. You're usually done by early afternoon, leaving the rest of your day free.
What happens if I get tired between the two dives?
You'll have a break after the first dive to relax, drink something, and recover before the safari dive. There's no rush: the schedule builds in time to catch your breath.
Will I see sea turtles at Green Bay?
Sea turtles do show up in these waters, and the safari dive at 10 meters gives you the best chance. There's no guarantee, but encounters happen often enough that guides and divers talk about them as a real possibility.
