The experience
The cable system has eight carriers powered by an electric motor, running 650 meters across the water at a steady 30–32 km/h. You'll start with a safety briefing and instruction from the guide, who helps you choose between waterskis or a wakeboard and gets you fitted with a wetsuit, life vest and helmet. Your first pull is the hardest part. The instructor meets you at the starting area to help you make that initial rise out of the water. After that, the time is yours: four hours is long enough to land your first full run, rest when you need to, and come back for another attempt.
If you've never done this before, the moderate speed and the guide's help mean you can focus on the mechanics without fighting the rope. If you already ride, the course has features built in (a table, slider and kickers), so you can work on air tricks and push your technique. The Bay of Punat is clear and calm, and the surrounding beaches give you a place to sit between rounds. The Beach Pub on-site serves hot and cold drinks, cocktails, fish and meat dishes, salads and burgers, so you can eat without leaving the water.
