The experience
The Junior sits at the Split harbor dock, a wooden sailing ship built in 1903, her hull painted deep blue and weathered by a century of Adriatic crossings. You board at 9am with coffee and a croissant in hand, and the crew casts off toward the Dalmatian coast. The first two hours are pure cruising: the water shifts from harbor gray to turquoise as the mainland falls away, and you're already swimming in your mind before the boat slows near Maslinica on Šolta Island. The bay there is small and sheltered, ringed by a fishing village that looks like it hasn't changed much since the ship was built.
