The experience

The day starts with pickup from your Šibenik hotel and a drive south along the Adriatic coast. A short stop at Primošten gives you a panoramic view of the village before the route continues to Trogir, about half an hour away. The guide leads you through the narrow stone streets and main square, pointing out the Saint Lawrence Cathedral and the town loggia: one of the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic-Renaissance towns in Central Europe. After time to explore on your own or grab coffee, you drive another half hour to Split.

In Split, the guide takes you through the old town and Diocletian's Palace, the 4th-century Roman palace that anchors the city's layout. You'll see the main public square and the waterfront Riva before getting free time for lunch and further wandering. The route back to Šibenik leaves in the late afternoon, arriving by evening. The vehicle is air-conditioned, bottled water is provided, and WiFi is available on board.

How long does the tour take from start to finish?

The full day runs 6 to 8 hours depending on traffic and how you use your free time in each city.

What is Diocletian's Palace and why does the Split stop focus on it?

Diocletian's Palace is a 4th-century Roman palace built by the emperor Diocletian. It forms the core of Split's old town and is the city's most significant landmark, so the guided portion centers on walking through it and the squares it defines.
