The Experience

"You have to try this one—my grandfather swears by it," our guide Luka grinned, holding out a slice of prosciutto so thin I could almost see the sunlight through it. We’d just left the roar of Krka’s waterfalls behind us, shoes still damp from the wooden walkways (I didn’t expect the spray to reach that far), and now we were in this tiny stone village somewhere inland from Šibenik.
