The experience
The evening starts with a local guide leading you through Korcula's ancient town walls for roughly an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. You'll stop at Korcula Town Museum to see a traditional kitchen still intact: the kind that shaped the dishes you'll eat later. The walk is designed to ground you in how people here actually cooked and lived, so when you sit down at the table, the food makes sense as something rooted in the place, not just plated on it.
Dinner at Restaurant Filippi is a four-course meal built around modern takes on Dalmatian cooking. You choose your dishes from the menu: options include sea bass bisque with polenta, sous vide lamb with parsnip cream, homemade macaroni with prawns and dried cranberries, and breaded cuttlefish ragù. Each course comes with a wine pairing selected from the island's own vineyards and the Pelješac Peninsula across the water. The restaurant opened in 2012 and carries a Michelin recommendation.
Pickup is included, and children from age 10 are welcome. The whole experience runs three and a half hours from start to finish.
