The experience
The day starts with a morning coffee in a small fishing village before the boat heads to Hvar. You have two to three hours to walk the waterfront on your own. The Cathedral is steps away, and the Fortica fortress sits above the town with a panoramic view of the coast. There's no fixed itinerary once you land. You set the pace and decide whether to climb, sit at a café or explore the old Dalmatian streets.
After Hvar, a short boat ride takes you to the Pakleni Islands, where the day opens up. Swim in Palmizana bay, walk inland through cactus and flowering plants, or post up at one of the beach clubs with a cocktail. The snorkeling masks come out if you want them. You can eat lunch at one of the restaurants here, or skip it and keep exploring. The guide stays with the boat. You're free to move around the islands however you want.
The boat size matters here (Luxury, Big or Normal), so pick the one that fits your group. Waterproof jackets and snorkeling gear are on board. The whole day runs eight hours, and you're back in Split by evening.
