The experience

“You sure you’ve driven one of these before?” our guide asked, grinning as he handed me the helmet. I hadn’t, but I nodded anyway: nerves jangling, dust already in the air. The buggies looked tougher than I expected, parked just above the cable car station on Mount Srđ. We could see Dubrovnik’s old rooftops far below, the sea flickering blue, islands scattered like someone tossed them there by accident.
