The experience

The day starts with a safety and equipment briefing at the put-in, led by qualified personnel who walk you through everything before you touch a paddle. The Rio Grande de Orosi's Class II-III section runs 5.5 km of continuous rapids with views of the Orosi Valley mountains framing the water. You paddle under the supervision of staff positioned to support you throughout, so the focus stays on the current and the next drop rather than on worry.

An air-conditioned vehicle picks you up from your hotel and brings you to the starting point. After the rapids, the group heads to the restaurant for lunch. The whole day runs 7.5 hours from pickup to return. Children from age 6 can join. The operator notes the activity suits all fitness levels, though it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy or cardiovascular concerns.

Guides speak English or Spanish. A natural refreshment is provided during the day. Photographs and tips are not included in the booking, and alcoholic drinks are not part of the package.
