You’ll soar above Costa Rica’s rainforest canopy on certified ziplines with expert guides. From mountain drives to flying between ancient trees, this tour packs real adventure with top-notch safety—and plenty of stories to bring home.
The morning air felt cool as we hopped into the van, winding our way up through the Central Mountains. Our guide, Luis, pointed out tiny coffee farms and the mist rolling over San Ramon’s rooftops—he even stopped for fresh empanadas at a roadside stand. The drive itself was half the fun; windows down, you could catch whiffs of wet earth and hear cicadas warming up for the day.
Once we reached the adventure park, things got real. The staff handed out harnesses and helmets—everything looked spotless and sturdy (Luis mentioned they check gear daily). Standing on that first platform, I could see nothing but green: thick primary forest below, sunlight flickering through leaves. The first zipline was a short one to get us used to it. By the third run, we were flying tree to tree—wind in our faces, shoes dangling over empty space. The guides kept things light but always double-checked every clip and buckle.
Between lines, Luis shared stories about local wildlife—howler monkeys sometimes show up if you’re early enough (we heard them but didn’t spot any). After the last run, we landed back on solid ground with shaky legs and huge grins. Bottled water never tasted so good. Then it was back in the van for an easy ride home—just enough time to swap photos and laugh about who screamed loudest.
