The experience

These electric carts are built for Tamarindo's terrain and pace. Each one comes with a lift kit and all-terrain tires so you can handle the rough back roads without worry. The deep-cycle battery runs 20 kilometers on a charge, and collision insurance is already included: no extra cost at pickup. You choose between a 4-seater or 6-seater depending on your group size.

The centrally located office doubles as a charging hub. Stop by whenever you need power while you're hanging around town, or take the 100-foot extension cable with you and charge at your hotel or anywhere else you land. An anti-theft GPS system tracks the cart, and the state-of-charge meter tells you how much range you have left. A rain cover is available if you're renting during the wet season.

Rentals run from one day up to two weeks. The primary renter must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and passport. A $500 deposit is due at pickup, and the cart must stay on designated areas. Service animals are welcome, and infants can sit on an adult's lap or ride in a stroller.
