The experience
The experience starts with pickup from your hotel in one of four towns: Salento, Filandia, Armenia or Pereira. You'll be driven to Calarca, a small town in the Coffee Region, where you meet the professional paraglider you'll fly with. After a safety briefing and equipment setup, you launch into open sky for 15 minutes. The paraglider handles the flight while recording video and taking photographs the entire time, so you're free to take in the panoramic views without managing a camera.
Once you land, you have the option to walk around Calarca town before the drive back to your hotel. The photos and videos from your flight are available for purchase afterward. The whole outing takes around four hours from pickup to drop-off. Paragliding depends on weather conditions. If your flight is cancelled due to wind or clouds, the operator refunds 50% of your booking.
