The experience

Your guide picks you up at your hotel lobby in the morning and drives you to the Terracotta Warriors Museum in a spacious, air-conditioned van. During the hour-long drive, the guide shares background on what you're about to see. Once there, you have at least two and a half hours to walk through three excavation pits containing the terracotta warriors and horses, plus the Bronze Chariots and Horses exhibition. The scale of it (more than 8,000 figures) becomes clear only when you stand in front of the pits themselves.

After the museum, your guide takes the group to the Muslim Bazaar, the busiest area of the city. You can explore it at your own pace, wander through the Bell and Drum Tower Square and the Great Mosque nearby, or skip it and have your guide drop you at your hotel instead. The bazaar has many dinner options if you want to eat there. Your guide will show you how to get back to your hotel from the bazaar.
