The experience

Your guide and driver collect you from your Guangzhou hotel and head straight to Canton Tower, the city's landmark TV tower. You take a fast lift to the 108th floor observation deck at 433 meters, then step out onto the 450-meter outdoor area: the highest vantage point on the tour. The deck circles the tower, so you get a full 360-degree sweep of Guangzhou's old and new districts lit up at night, with the city's towers, concert halls and skyline landmarks all visible from a single spot.

After Canton Tower, your guide leads you to the cruise terminal on the Pearl River. You board a sightseeing ship and take your place in the VIP section, where the view opens across the water. The cruise drifts past Zhujiang Town, Haixinsha Concert Hall, IFC and other illuminated buildings, so you see the skyline from the river itself rather than from above. The deck lets you stand outside and take in the lights while the boat moves. Note that no meal is included on the cruise. If you want dinner, you can arrange it separately at your own cost.
